Environmental Health
and Safety
The GCRL Environmental Health & Safety Officer provides oversight and services to our faculty, staff and students to promote safe research and teaching environments and alleviate impacts to our surrounding community.
Facilities Reservations
The Gulf Coast Research Laboratory hosts a wide variety of conference and meeting spaces as well as short term lodging and catering options.
GCRL Museum
The museum serves as the primary repository for specimens obtained during ongoing local, national, and international research programs conducted at the Laboratory and at other regional institutions, thereby meeting its chartered purpose of studying and disseminating specimen-based information for research and academic purposes.
Gunter Library
The Gunter Library provides technical information for research staff, resident faculty and students, and visitors. Included are files of abstracts and reprints, books and journals, expedition reports, dissertations, and reference works. Special book collections support the academic program of the Laboratory.
Physical Plant
Physical Plant at the Gulf Coast Research Laboratory provides and preserves campus buildings and grounds to promote a safe and enriching environment.
Shellfish Sanitation Laboratory
The role of Shellfish Sanitation at the Gulf Coast Research Laboratory includes performing tests necessary to comply with federal regulations designed to protect public health.
